JICA and the Philippines
Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is a governmental agency of Japan which is responsible for the technical cooperation of Japan’s Official Development Assistance (ODA) programs. JICA has about 1,200 staff members working both in Japan and at its more than fifty overseas offices, including the Philippine Office.

JICA Philippine Office gives life to JICA’s motivating principles —– “Human Resources Development, Nation-building, and Heart-to-Heart Communication”

The Philippine Office is at the forefront of JICA’s country-based approach. Currently, it has a total of 63 staff members (22 Japanese and 41 National staff) and has 93 long-term experts and 53 volunteers dispatched all around the country as of May 31, 2002.
